Hello! Regional Invent Idaho 2007
What does a six year old have in common with Thomas Edison? They are both innovative inventors. Be the first to see new inventions created by Idaho students!
The schools in Southwest Idaho invite you to participate as a judge in our annual Regional Invent Idaho on Friday, February 23, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on the BSU Campus, Micron Engineering Center (MEC).
If you have never judged before you are in for a treat! The judging process is fun. You will be amazed by the original inventions dreamed up by these creative students in grades one through eight. You will also meet interesting people, experts in their field, who share your enthusiasm for innovative projects that extend the creative process.
We welcome returning judges who can lend their expertise to the process. The judging will emphasize written feedback that is useful and constructive. Students appreciate and seriously consider judges' feedback to enrich the inventing process and promote a real-world connection.
Judging takes place on the BSU Campus at the Micron Engineering Center from 6:00 p.m. until about 10:00 p.m. Orientation is from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in the Micron Engineering Center, Room 114, where a light dinner will be available while you participate in this orientation session. This session will give you the information needed to choose the best inventions from each of five categories. Your selection will qualify these inventions for the next level of competition, the State Invent Idaho.
Please consider being a judge for the Regional Invent Idaho. Be the first to see these original inventions created by some of the best young minds in Southwest Idaho! Your RSVP (by phone at 343-9895 ext. 245 or e-mail me at w.sobey@scidaho.org) is important so that we have the appropriate number of judges for this exciting event.
Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you.
